Chinese Veg Noodles

Veg noodles are one of the most popular and delicious Chinese food. The recipe is super easy and also tastes yum… It can be an ideal tiffin box recipe for kids or you can prepare it on small occasions like kitty parties, birthdays, etc. You can also serve it as yummy evening snacks. To make it more healthy you can add a lot of veggies to it of our choice so that you can Eat Tasty & Stay Healthy.

So let’s get started with the recipe.

Servings: 2 | Preparation time: 30-35 mins

Ingredients of Veg Noodles: 

For Boiling Noodles:

  • 6 cups of water
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Noodles – 125 grams

Other Ingredients:

  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped garlic – 2 cloves
  • Chopped ginger – 1 inch
  • Green chili – 1
  • Sliced onion – 1/2
  • Chopped spring onion – 2 tbsp
  • Green capsicum – 1/4
  • Chopped carrot – 1/2
  • Chopped cabbage – 3 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Chili sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp


  • In a vessel take 6 cups of water and add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp oil to it.
  • Boil the water for 1 min.
  • Once the water is boiled take a pack of noodles (Hakka noodles or any noodles of your choice) and add it to the boiled water.
  •  Let the noodles boil for over 3 mins and make sure not to cook the noodles completely.
  • After boiling stir and separate the noodles properly.
  • Drain off the water completely from noodles using a strainer and pour 1 cup of cold water to prevent further cooking.
  • Add 1 tsp oil to the noodles and mix gently so that they do not stick to each other.
  • In a frying pan take 2 tbsp of oil, chopped garlic and ginger, green chili (as mentioned in the ingredients), and fry it on high flame.
  • Mix sliced onion, spring onion (as mentioned in the ingredients) and saute it on high flame.
  • Add chopped carrot, green capsicum, cabbage (as mentioned in the ingredients)  and stir it on high flame for over 2 mins until all the veggies get cooked but do not overcook them.
  • Now add soya sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, chili sauce, pepper powder, salt (as mentioned in the ingredients) and stir it on high flame. Mix them well.
  • Now add the boiled noodles and mix them gently so that they do not break.

Follow all the steps well and Yay! The dish is ready.

The tasty Veg Noodles are ready to serve. Serve it on a plate, and you can garnish it with some spring onion.
